Here’s a new painting. I really love how it turned out.

To all who have joined my year-end giveaway so far, thank you so much for your very kind words! Your support means a lot to me.

I forgot to remove payment buttons for the paintings from which the winner could choose and one of them — the rose — sold last night. As a replacement, I’ve thrown in 3 more and the winner may now choose from 7 paintings. You can see them here along with details of the draw: Painting Giveaway.

I will announce the winner on the 4th of January so if you would like to join, all you have to do is leave a comment here.

Please be sure to leave a comment so I’ll know that you want to participate in the giveaway…a simple “I want to join” will do!

Wishing 2012 will be a good year for all of us — Happy New Year, my friends!!

I’m back to posting new paintings again after a terribly long break. It was anything but a “vacation” though. My father had a major stroke last February. This left him bedridden and dependent on my Mom, brother and me for almost everything. We dropped everything we were doing as the hospital became our home for a while. I did plan on doing some pencil drawings there, but I couldn’t find the energy nor the interest to do anything. Unfortunately, this went on for a good while after we were back home again. It took some time for us to adjust to the new schedules, duties and lifestyle. I can’t say we’ve finally settled down, but I did manage to start painting again several weeks ago.

I have lots to catch up on, but it feels good to be back again.
