I would like the teacup to look more translucent so I will give this painting a second layer. I am also trying to use my tube of phthalo blue more so I used it on the background here.

I think the phthalo blue works well, it’s hue complements the highlights on the orange. I also think that leaving the lid slightly ajar works well at drawing attention to the center of the composition. All in all, nice work.
