Oil painting on hardboard
Approximately 6 x 6 inches — 15 x 15 cm

Only 5 more to post to complete the first 365 of daily paintings! Here’s a new subject — okra. I have considered painting them for quite some time now, but I never got around to it because I couldn’t find a composition I wanted to paint.

Okra is an interesting veggie. I should try cooking with it, rather than only eating it in prepared soups over the years. How do you cook Okra
    Nice work, as always Faith.

Ms. Kim, thanks for your comment! You eat okra raw in soups?? I only know two ways to cook it. One is boiled in water, drained and then served with soy sauce. The other is cooked with some pork and a variety of other veggies like squash, bitter gourd and eggplant. We call it “pinakbet”. Here’s a Wiki article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinakbet
