Another painting of one of my most favorite vegetables. It’s funny, but the two eggplant dishes that I love to eat most have eggs as one of the ingredients. I think they go very well in a dish together. I’m not sure if those two dishes are what they had in mind when they called this vegetable “eggplant”, but I think the name is perfect for it!
The very first eggplant painting I did was posted about two weeks ago. It was great fun to paint, so I decided to do another one. I liked this eggplant’s curved shape and chose a light background to feature it.

Faith, this is another triumph! It feels as though I could reach out and touch the eggplant! As I mentioned before, my father grew these every year in his garden, so I have handled, peeled, and cooked many of these little gems. He is in his 80’s now, and this is the first year that he hasn’t had a garden in I can’t remember when. So, as you can imagine, this painting really speaks to my heart. Thank you again for sharing.
