Here’s another brown egg painting. It has a similar “monochrome” color scheme as the last one. I had a very difficult time trying to get the colors on the screen to match the original. The shadow part of the egg is a little more magenta in reality. You will see more of these brown eggs in the future as I really enjoy painting them. I have a whole dozen tray of them bought specially for painting!
Also, I am pleased to announce that I am now a featured artist on Daily Paintworks! I was invited by David Marine (founder of the site and husband of fab daily painter Carol Marine) a couple of days ago and I’m really thrilled and honored to be part of this group! If you haven’t seen it yet, DailyPaintworks.com also has auctions that are exclusively for original art. Check it out — as far as I know, it’s the first of its kind!

Congratulations, Faith, on being the DPW featured artist! You certainly deserve the recognition.
Love your 2nd brown egg painting! I like the way you handled the metal hinge on the box. It looks so real! Fabulous work, as always.

Hi Faith I have been admiring your work for awhile. The brown eggs are really beautiful.
Congrats on being invited to join DPW. I love the site and the challenges. I signed up as a paying member and hope to develop my skills as a painter by daily paintings. I took Carol Marine’s workshop and loved it.

Thanks so much, Faith.
I am thrilled to have won the contest, and to see my name here as the winner on your blog : ) I love the paintings so much that I have to think about my choice overnight, and get my family’s opinion, too.
Thanks again,
Lisa Bryson
