Year-End Painting Giveaway!!
I haven’t been giving my blog attention for most of the year due to several personal issues that came up. In spite of that, however, I am surprised that people still continue to visit, leave comments or buy my paintings.
As a small way of saying thank you for your support, I will be giving away one of my paintings. The winner can choose their favorite from among the five seven paintings below:
Cake / Oil on hardboard / Approx. 6 x 6″ (15 x 15 cm)
Oranges on Wood / Oil on matboard / Approx. 7.5 x 5.5″ (19 x 14 cm)
Purple Dendrobium Orchid No. 2 / Oil on matboard / Approx. 5 x 7″ (13 x 18 cm)
Yellow Onions / Oil on matboard / Approx. 5.75 x 5.5″ (14.5 x 14 cm)
Orange with Leaf / Oil on hardboard / Approx. 6 x 6″ (15 x 15 cm)
Grapes on a Shelf / Oil on hardboard / Approx. 6 x 6″ (15 x 15 cm)
Pink Rosebud / Oil on matboard / Approx. 4.5 x 7.5″ (11.5 x 19 cm)
If you would like to win one of these paintings, all you have to do is leave a comment at the end of this post…just a simple “I want to join” will do! Only those who have left comments will be entered in the draw. Everyone is encouraged to participate, even those who only silently read this blog!

Hello Faith. I do know you had a huge bereavement in the year. So i would like to say how sorry I am bout it all. I can say that time is a great healer & nothing lasts for ever. I hope that 2012 offers you more happiness than 2011. I am sure it will get better. Oh & you get more time to do your expert little paintings. such a joy to see always. Merry xmas. Malcy ( margate)

Hi faith, I looked at more of your excellent work and I think it is on a level of many of the excellent artists such as Henri Fantin-Latour, my favorite, and other artists of this era. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work and signed up to see what you come up with next. I completed 15 paintings in 2010 and pulled back in 2011 to focus on other hobbies. Your work has inspired me to go back to the things I like best…still life.
I told my students in the Senior Center Painting class about you and gave them you site.

I don’t want to boot on your paintings just like that, but I can surely make out that every person who is interested in painting will have a strong touch at a first look of your painting. Say suppose, a beginner will feel interested in looking at your paintings and try to practice it to find some of the great strokes that you made, similarly for an intermediate. When an artist looks at it, I am sure that he/she will enjoy seeing some of your experiments, style, topics, now you look at the things and so on….

Beautiful paintings. I’m learning to paint myself too. You have a beautiful style. I think is a good idea to paint something small daily to practice and improve skills and spped. Would like to win one of your paintings…it would be inspirational for me. Thanks and Happy painting
